Engineered for long machine life

Known for durability and long-life frames, the HD605-8 mechanical truck was engineered for exceptional longevity. Featuring hydro-pneumatic suspension, a tight turning radius and superior ride, this truck is an excellent choice for quarry operations and more.

Features may include:

MacPherson-strut-type suspension
  • A comfortable ride, even on uneven roads. The MacPherson-strut-type independent front suspension allows the front wheels to follow uneven road surfaces smoothly.
Fully hydraulic wet multiple-disc brakes
  • Give your operator greater confidence at higher downhill speeds with wet multiple-disc brakes. Continuously oil-cooled, multiple-disc brakes function as a highly responsive retarder for added reliability and stable brake performance.
Automatic retard speed control
  • Let your operator concentrate on steering by simply setting the downhill travel speed at increments of 0.6 mph to match the optimum speed for slope. Travel speed is automatically lowered if oil temperature increases to a set limit.
K-ATOMiCS transmission
  • Komatsu Advanced Transmission with Optimum Modulation Control System (K-ATOMiCS) helps avoid unnecessary fuel consumption, reduce material spillage and provide a smoother ride for operators by automatically selecting a gear position depending on grade, speed and acceleration.
Komatsu Traction Control System (KTCS)
  • KTCS is engineered for optimal traction in soft or wet road conditions with a system that monitors for wheel slippage at the rear axle. If slippage is detected, brakes are applied independently and automatically to each wheel set.
