This rugged head is designed for high performance in big timber harvesting and processing applications. It is an ideal match to Komatsu’s 951 wheeled harvester or PC210LL-10 and PC290LL-11 forestry excavators and is compatible with other brands.

Features may include:

• Two feed motors powering two driven feed rollers, plus three support rollers, provide multiple contact points to carry the stem. Designed to center the stem for efficient feeding. Low clamping pressure delivers high feed force with low energy consumption.

• Two upper hydraulically controlled delimbing knives designed for handling trees with tough limbs, a fixed vertical top knife and a fixed bottom knife provide high performance delimbing. Cast iron knives deliver high durability and performance.

• Intelligent saw motor control delivers the right chainsaw speed to reduce splitting risk and provide short cutting times. Programmable EcoOiler automatic chain lubrication system.

• Patented length-measuring wheel cylinder design ensures constant equalized pressure to closely follow stem irregularities. High-resolution encoders, both left and right, deliver high accuracy.

• State-of-the-art control system with intuitive graphical interface to manage all aspects of head control and performance. Easy programming of individual operator control preferences plus production parameters such as tree species, length and diameter.

• Computer and hydraulic hoses/tubes are well-protected for high reliability. All daily service can be performed at ground level without repositioning. Centralized lubrication points further reduce service time.
