Create entry roads in mid seams faster

Efficiently create mid-seam entry roads by cutting gate roads and bolting the roof. Especially suited for the Pittsburgh seam, when center bolting can be completed after the gate road has been strapped and bolted.

Features may include:

Roof and rib bolters
  • For bolting the entry after cutting, an auger-style roof bolter is equipped on each side of the miner. Drill rolls are available, as are wet and dry drilling options, depending on operations and conditions.
Gathering head
  • Centrifugal loading arm (CLA) design for particularly effective loading. Extendable wings and multiple widths to match your operational needs. For longevity, gathering head deck plated with chromium-carbide overlay (CCO); multiple materials available for wear shoes.
Proven conveyor system
  • Universal Joy conveyor links prolong chain life; cam-style adjusting mechanism compensates for chain slack as the conveyor swings. CCO-plated conveyor deck plates for longevity. Dual sprocket conveyor chain for strength and reduced noise.
Cutterhead extensions
  • For ease of operation, greater flexibility when cutting corners with hydraulic cutterhead extensions on each side retract, enabling efficient withdrawals.
